This position will report directly to the VP of Finance and Administration to assist with various accounting, budget and forecasting and payroll responsibilities. This position will work closely with the Grant Accountant and the Accounting team on general ledger transactions, reconciliations and other ad hoc reports as needed.Responsibilities
  • Organize and maintain monthly financial statements, quarterly dashboard reports and all state and local and federal tax filings.
  • Coordinate and submit personnel and OTPS re- allocations for contract expense reports.
  • Review personnel allocations reconcile and assure compliance with federal, state and foundation grant contracts.
  • Act as a liaison between grant accountant and GL accounting team.
  • Coordinate with Program staff on all Accounts Payable compliance.
  • Review and update Chart of Accounts when contracts are newly awarded or expired.
  • Prepare analysis and other ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Report directly to VP of Finance and Administration to assist with analysis, dashboard creation and on-going financial compliance responsibilities.
  • Assist with monthly and annual close exercises as well as the production of the fiscal year budget and planning process.
  • Cross-train with the Payroll Manager to learn and perform various payroll tasks.
  • Prepare and analyze payroll reports to monitor and address any payroll-related issues as well as personnel reports to assist with any requests from Finance or HR department.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience working in an accounting field.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
