Junior Attorney, Litigation - Paduano & Weintraub : Job Details

Our practice is devoted exclusively to litigation. From our offices in Rockefeller Center and Los Angeles, we aggressively represent clients and provide first-rate legal service on a cost-effective basis. The experience of our partners ranges from administrative hearings, arbitrations, and simple state court cases, to matters before the Supreme Court of the United States and appellate arguments in a wide variety of substantive contexts. For the last 30 years, our clients have always included the country's largest banks and broker-dealers. We have been retained to try matters before federal and state courts and arbitration panels in 38 states.

We are seeking a talented, confident lawyer with excellent academic achievement, strong writing and research skills. Law Review or similar experience required. Our practice presents an exceptional opportunity to develop your career.

Responsibilities

As a junior associate you will work closely with Partners and senior attorneys on matters. Responsibilities and assignments are determined by interest and ability. Handle all aspects of litigation, including factual investigation, drafting pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation and trials. Our practice is almost entirely on the defense side with a heavy focus on financial services and employment with matters in state and federal courts and before regulatory forums.

Qualifications

Big law firm experience. Excellent academics. Admitted in New York. One to four years of experience, preferably with some experience in litigation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and oral communication abilities. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under tight deadlines. Detail-oriented. Exceptional organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
