Title: Junior Commodity & Market Data Business Analyst

Job Description:

As a Junior Business Analyst at Fifth Third Bank, you will be responsible for collecting and documenting business requirements from stakeholders, analyzing current business processes to identify areas for improvement, and developing and proposing solutions to address business needs. You will communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding, analyze data to support decision-making and identify trends, and create detailed documentation, including business cases, process flows, and functional specifications. Additionally, you will conduct in-depth analysis of commodity markets to provide insights and recommendations, and develop and maintain reports and dashboards in Power BI. Your role will also involve identifying and assessing risks associated with commodity markets, collaborating with traders, portfolio managers, and other stakeholders to understand their data and analysis needs, and staying updated with the latest developments in commodity markets and economic indicators to support strategic decision-making and market positioning.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Commodities Analysis

Conduct in-depth analysis of commodity markets, including trends, pricing, and market dynamics.

Provide insights and recommendations based on market data to support trading and investment decisions.

2. Reporting and Visualization

Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to present market data and analysis in Power BI

Use data visualization tools to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.

Ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.

3. Risk Management

Identify and assess risks associated with commodity markets.

Develop strategies to mitigate risks and support risk management initiatives.

4. Collaboration

Work closely with traders, portfolio managers, and other stakeholders to understand their data and analysis needs.

Collaborate with IT and data teams to ensure seamless data integration and accessibility.

5. Research and Insights

Stay updated with the latest developments in commodity markets and economic indicators.

Conduct research to support strategic decision-making and market positioning.

MUST HAVE SKILLS:

• Proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and SQL.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

• 1 year of experience in business analysis or a related role.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
