Job Title: Junior Indirect Buyer (Procurement)

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm (must be able to work outside of the schedule hours)

Department: Procurement

Location: Stokesdale, NC

Reports To: Senior Buyer

Job Purpose

The Junior Indirect Buyer will support the procurement team by managing the purchasing of non-production goods, services and logistics. This role involves working closely with various departments to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services required for the company's operations.

Main Responsibilities and Key Tasks

  • Work with the main users to fulfill the plant request for indirect products/services according to the compliance guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements for indirect products and services.
  • Create and manage purchase orders for spare parts, materials, and services requested by the manufacturing and other departments.
  • Conduct quotations and negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best possible pricing and terms.
  • Follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and receipt of goods and services.
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
  • Assist in resolving any issues related to procurement, such as delivery delays or quality concerns.
  • Organize and prioritize your own workload.
  • Resolve invoices in SAP, last payment, vendor set up.
  • Be an agent for change and continuously challenge the status quo.
  • Present savings opportunities to the executive management team.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in procurement or a related field, preferably in a CPG company.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
