Job Description :

We're looking for an organized Junior Project Manager to join our award-winning ICRAVE Design Team at our dynamic studio in New York City! This is a temporary role with the opportunity to become permanent based on performance and project needs. About the Studio: Our physical studio was formed through the acquisition of ICRAVE (www.icrave.com) in December 2021, an industry thought leader in strategy, interior, and experience design. ICRAVE has collaborated with both Fortune 500 brands and up-and-coming companies across a variety of sectors including health care, airport & transportation, restaurants and hospitality, sporting stadiums, entertainment ventures, and commercial real estate across the world. The business was founded by Lionel Ohayon in 2002, a visionary in architectural and experience design, who is both a Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Journey. This is a place where everybody's creativity is welcomed, innovation is required, and participation and ideas are always expected. About the Position: As our Junior Project Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to work on an internationally renowned, groundbreaking Giga-Project where you'll work with and learn from some of the best in the industry. Your work will be instrumental in the success of this major design project, while also serving as an opportunity to sharpen your project management skills. Your day to day will include:

  • Serving as the go-to person for keeping our project communications smooth and effective. Whether it's clarifying the next steps after client meetings or sending out concise status updates, you'll make sure everyone is in the loop.
  • Sitting in on internal and external meetings, taking detailed notes, and distributing key takeaways. You'll provide detailed summaries that won't just be lists of things said but actionable insights that help the project move forward.
  • Extensive client communication: Whether it's scheduling a call or handling a quick follow-up, you'll ensure our clients feel supported and informed.
  • Coordinating with the design team to pull together all the necessary pieces of the project- design files, sketches, specs, and invoices-making sure everything is where it needs to be, when it needs to be.
  • Making sure deliverables are submitted on time and all phases of the project stays on track. This means managing task lists, creating Gantt charts or timelines, and nudging team members to keep up momentum.
  • Crafting and pulling together information to create and refine polished presentation decks that wow our clients across multiple platforms (Google Slides, PowerPoint, InDesign)
  • While our team of designers will be driving the majority of design production and documentation, you'll need to know enough to help troubleshoot minor design issues with quick fixes.
These tasks will give you a real taste of the dynamic nature of our design studio, balancing design support, organizational excellence, and project management all in one. It's not about just keeping things in order; it's about being the glue that holds creative and operational processes together. About You: To thrive in this role, you are an exceptional multi-tasker and a highly organized workflow wizard. You excel in time management and enjoy juggling multiple tasks and pride yourself in your ability to connect the many dots and moving parts, and can create order out of chaos, all while maintaining a calm demeanor. Additionally, you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture (B.Arch or BS Architecture)
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a design studio environment
  • Stellar verbal and written communication skills (you'll need to be clear, concise, yet detailed)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Expert proficiency in Google Slides, PowerPoint, and InDesign
  • The ability to work your way around design tools specifically, AutoCAD 2020+, Rhino 7.0, and Revit (highly preferred)
  • Experience in design project management tasks like budgeting, scheduling, and coordination highly preferred
In the spirit of flexibility, please be aware that this position involves a hybrid work arrangement, incorporating both remote and in-person commitments at our studio location in NYC. The salary pay range below is the hourly rate. Salary Pay Range $35-$45 USD
