The Vanguard 2.2.1 program currently has an opening for a ServiceNow Data Support & Reconciler to support the Department of State (DoS) Bureau of Diplomatic Technology (DT).
The project is to build a ServiceNow CMDB using automated discovery to support FISMA, FITARA and MEGABOX regulatory reporting. DT is responsible for the network infrastructure that supports the entire enterprise. All members of the team will be involved in all the activities to facilitate cross-coverage and knowledge exchange. We are working across multiple DoS groups facilitating buy-in.
This role is primarily remote with occasional on-site work in Springfield, VA or additional locations within the Washington, DC metro area as needed.
Primary Project Activities:
* Resolving discrepancies between ServiceNow Discovery and the other network administration tools
* Standardizing ServiceNow administration practices particularly for MID server management
* Assist IRM groups in establishing asset management capabilities in ServiceNow.
Description of Duties:
The candidate must be able to perform general business process analysis as follows:
* Interpreting gathered data.
* Plan and implement data analysis projects.
* Identify patterns and trends in analyzed data.
* Root Cause Analysis
* Problem Statements
* Technical documentation and communications
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience:
* Bachelor's Degree in related technical discipline.
* 2 to 4 years experience in the following areas:
* Knowledge of IT physical and virtual resources including the supported network functions.
* Familiarity with network management tools.
* Intermediate to expert skills on Excel.
* Experience working in ServiceNow or another tool as an ITSM tool.
* Familiarity with the Agile development process and structure.
* Direct customer support experience.
* ServiceNow Admin certification or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
Required Clearance:
* US Citizenship.
* Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
* Interim Secret clearance will be required prior to starting work.
Desired Experience/Skills/Attributes:
* An advanced degree and certifications such as ITIL, MCSE, etc. are desirable.
* Basic database administration.
* Experience working with network engineers.
