Job Description:

The Junior Reporting & Costing Analyst position is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on Seasons store performance on a weekly/monthly basis. This includes analysis of gross margins, vendor item costs, and overall profitability.

Additional primary job responsibilities include recipe costing for our Commissary Kitchens. This will require communicating with our Chefs to obtain needed recipes and cost them out in our system via bills of materials entry. The potential candidate will need to have the ability to travel to our Lakewood, NJ location at least once a week.

This position will report to our Director of Store Reporting & Analysis and will work closely with management to provide quality reporting and analysis. Accuracy, organization, strong work ethic, and advanced Excel/database skills are among the key attributes of the person filling this job.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Costing out recipes, bills of materials, and monitoring/reporting significant cost changes.
  • Reaching out to vendors for competitive costs, cost comparisons, and analysis.
  • Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on a weekly basis, including margin analysis and overall performance.
  • Oversight and maintenance of the POS system inventory database.
  • Monitoring competitor pricing levels and reacting/adjusting company pricing.
  • Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to travel to Lakewood, NJ, once a week.
  • Prior experience costing out recipes and bill of materials setups.
  • Advanced/proficient Excel skills and experience working with large volumes of data is a must.
  • Good communication skills, someone who takes initiative, and has a can-do attitude.
