Chathams Small Animal Hospital is looking to hire an enthusiastic, detail-oriented team player for our busy 3 Doctor Hospital. About this job: The Kennel Attendant would be responsible for maintaining proper disease control, cleanliness of our facility, and providing a comfortable environment for our animals. The position requires flexible availability. The ideal candidate is available for some weekends and must be able to work late nights throughout the week. The candidate must be a dog and cat lover, dependable, and communicative. The candidate must prioritize the cleanliness and organization of the hospital. Work well with all employees and ensure that your actions support the hospital, the doctors, the practice manager, and the practice philosophy. Responsibilities:

• Clean, disinfect, and maintain kennels and cages as often as necessary to ensure no cages or kennels are soiled and odors are not apparent. Perform general cleaning in other areas of the hospital to control the spread of disease. Wash and sterilize water and food bowls.
• Launder and dry towels and blankets.
• Patrol hospital grounds daily, picking up any trash and stool material. Empty trash
• Clean exam rooms and surgical area
• Walk hospitalized dogs as needed throughout the day
• Perform the end-of-night cleaning of the entire hospital
