The Animal Emergency & Referral Center of Minnesota (AERC-MN) is looking for a full-time Kennel Attendant to add to our team. Compensation: $16/hr with some room for negotiations depending on skillset, education, and other factors.Shift Differential Eligibility: EligibleBenefits: Medical, Dental & Vision plans available. Uniform, Pet, Continued Education stipends and so much more!The primary function of the Kennel Attendant is to ensure the cleanliness of the hospital. Kennel Attendants are responsible for maintaining proper disease control protocols, including cleaning of facility, preparation of kennels for patients, laundry, and general cleaning and stocking of the treatment floor(s). This is not an animal handling position. Hospital Duties You have an interest in caring for animals.You demonstrate a natural ability to actively listen, lead with curiosity and assume best intentions of others.You will answer phone calls, enter data into the electronic medical record platform, and reduce patient anxiety by troubleshooting issues related to comfort care in the ICU, service failures, or other problems including identifying and resolving the problem through effective decision making and escalating issues when appropriate.You will function as an important role in the ER / ICU treatment room floors through cleaning, stocking, and laundry duties, as well as assisting the technicians and assistants with keeping animals clean, dry, and comfortable. Continued Professional Development Skills can be taught. We value training and professional development.
