Kennel Worker - Heart of Minnesota Animal Shelter : Job Details

We are seeking a friendly Kennel Attendant to join our team and help us provide exceptional care for our furry guests. As a Kennel Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and happiness of our resident animals and creating a comfortable and safe environment for them.

You will be responsible to:

• Provide compassionate care for all animals in our facility
• Feed and water animals according to their specific dietary needs
• Monitor and report any changes in animals' behavior or health to the supervisor
• Assist with bathing, grooming, and nail trimming as necessary
• Washing, drying and folding laundry
• Administering treatments to animals under the guidance and instructions of the Veterinarian and Veterinarian Technician
• Transporting animals safely from and to the veterinarian
• Maintain a clean and healthy shelter environment- sweeping, mopping floors, taking garbage's out, cleaning general areas etc.
• Keep records of animal feedings, treatments and other updates
• Cleaning and disinfecting of animal living spaces/ kennels/ cages
• Following proper safety measures and procedures when using chemicals and cleaning supplies
• Wash food and water bowls and put them away in an orderly fashion

You must be:

• 18 years/ or older
• Possess and maintain a Minnesota Class-D Driver's License and a reliable vehicle for transportation
