About the Team:The Key Account Manager, Disney is primarily focused on managing the key strategic partnership with the Disney corporation. They are responsible for developing the business from both the licensing side and theme parks to achieve on commercial targets through maximizing the potential of all existing and potential businesses while maintaining the brand standards and a high level of customer service. The Key Account Manager, Disney will be responsible for growing these accounts through, written and verbal communication around training plans, introduction of new product launches, order writing, visual standards and marketing plans. The Key Account Manager must have a thorough understanding of operational performance to ensure that the locations are consistent with and in compliance with all retail guidelines and appropriate product levels. This position will work closely with the Divisional Directors, Disney Parks Managers, Divisional Sales Managers, Business development team, vendors, merchandising, training, and marketing teams. The Key Account Manager, Disney must be a self-starter with an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, remoted, dynamic environment, driving multiple initiatives, with minimal oversight while hitting tight deadlines.Your Role as a Key Account Manager, Disney:
  • Develop comprehensive plans to set key accounts up for long term growth and sustainability in collaboration with Divisional sales managers and aligned to the wider divisional strategy
  • Take and advisory role with store and or account management on a continual basis to develop growth strategies, new product launches and trainings
  • Develop individual business and marketing plans for each account focused towards driving sales plan, both receipts, optimizing across all key performance indicators (KPI's) and budgeting
  • Actively collaborative with internal and external stakeholders to drive adoption of best practice and defining optimal solutions for sharing across the business.
  • Stay abreast of industry/customer trends, broader developments in the marketplace and communicate these to management.
  • Create sales forecasts and prepare sales strategies based on current and anticipated customer requirements.
  • Service and develop existing accounts through effective sales presentations, utilization of support services, business and brand consultation.
  • Work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Category management and merchandising to build consensus and further retail and wholesale goals.
  • Partner with customer to build foundation of partnership and create brand synergy.

  • Bachelor's degree in either communications, journalism, business economics, or societal studies
  • 8-10 yrs professional experience from corporate communications and media relations
  • Experience working in a global matrix organisation and capacity to contribute in globally networked projects
  • Ability to move through outdoor theme park environment under all weather conditions. Average store visits required several miles of outdoor travel.
  • Experience with issue management, preferably from a consumer-oriented business
  • Fluent in English. Strong writing skills
