Position: Key Account Team Assistant

In our facility Jungheinrich Lift Truck Corp. located in Houston, Texas our team is working on the next generation of electric driven warehouse products optimized for the North American market.

Position Summary:

The Key Account Team Assistant (KAA) provides support to Corporate Key Account Manager (KAM) and is a critical contact person for customers and internal/external vendors and agencies. The KAA is responsible for regular communications with key customer contacts, preparing purchase orders and invoices, maintaining ledgers and basic bookkeeping. We are looking for an extremely well organized, dynamic, hands-on person with excellent communication skills to work with internal and external customers and vendors in support of the KAM and our team in Houston, Texas. Applicants must be self-driven, well organized, and comfortable working individually as well as in a team environment with a focus on quality, accuracy, execution, and continual process improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support and backup of Key Account Manager (KAM), contact person for assigned customers
  • Report to KAM and HR Manager
  • Promptly process and track customer orders for equipment and services
  • Review vendor invoices in close cooperation with KAM; invoice customer in the Sales and After Sales department
  • Interact with internal and external customers relating to accounts and financial matters of outstandings, credit/debit notes, deductions etc.
  • Handle A/P and A/R
  • Maintain accounts in QuickBooks and internal database
  • Prepare and request Purchase Orders and Quotes
  • Prepare various reports for management, customers and vendors
  • Maintain statutory compliance for company e.g. timely filing and payment of collected use and sales tax with different State Tax Departments

Education/Qualifications/Experience:

  • 2+ years accounting/bookkeeping experience
  • 2+ years of prior related work experience
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
  • Excellent computer skills, experience in accounting software preferred (SAP)
  • Advanced knowledge MS Office in particular with MS Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
