STREAM EARLY LEARNING CENTER & ACADEMY is seeking a dynamic and passionate Kindergarten General Studies Teacher for the 2021-22 school year.
The STREAM School strives to provide an extraordinary joyful and wonder based educational experience for children, mindfully partnering with parents to facilitate the social, physical, intellectual, creative, emotional, and spiritual development of every child and family. Through innovative pedagogical programs and interdisciplinary project based learning (PBL), students are provided the opportunity to develop self-confidence and self- awareness, enhance their academic skills and creative capabilities, and build their individual Jewish identity in a caring environment preparing each child for success in the 21st-century.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- B.A. or M.A. Degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education
- 1 year minimum classroom experience (preferred)
- Be creative, thoughtful, self-reflective, problem solver, & lifelong learner.
- Be willing to collaborate with partner teachers and across disciplines in the creation of meaningful, engaging, and real-world learning experiences for students.
- Have a constructivist approach to education and a general understanding of interdisciplinary project based learning (PBL) model.
- Possess strong classroom management skills rooted in positive discipline and responsive classroom practices.
- Have strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills fostering a positive environment and relationships with students, parents, and the school leadership team.
- Developed proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, G Suite including Google Classroom, and use of other Learning Apps.
INSTRUCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrate a commitment to developing pedagogical practice. This includes differentiation of instruction, classroom management, development of curriculum utilizing interdisciplinary project based learning aligned to CCLS and NGLS Standards.
- Create a classroom environment that encourages social emotional learning & builds a community of learners. Utilize a variety of instructional groupings, including whole group, small group and one-on-one instruction to meet the needs of their students.
- Collection and analysis of student data used to drive instruction. Provide differentiated instruction based on student strength sand needs.
PROFESSIONAL GROWTH & DEVELOPMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Commitment to being self-reflective and a lifelong learner. Display openness to receive constructive feedback to improve your practice. Set long-term and short-term goals.
- Demonstrate strong pedagogical practice, the ability to effectively work on a team, meet all professional responsibilities.
- Actively participate in the vetting of lessons and providing instructional feedback during morning meetings & informal lesson reviews.

Pay: $50,000 - $65,000 per year
