Responsibilities:

  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation through regular inspections and training of kitchen staff.
  • Overseeing Daily Operations: Supervise all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and cleaning, to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Menu Planning and Development: Collaborate with executive chef to create and update menus, considering factors such as seasonality, cost, and customer preferences.
  • Purchasing and Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of food and kitchen supplies, place orders as needed, and ensure proper storage to minimize waste and maintain quality.
  • Staff Supervision: Recruit, train, and schedule kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers. Provide guidance and support to promote teamwork and high performance. Manage onsite Human Resources functions for all kitchen staff.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including food handling procedures, sanitation practices, and kitchen cleanliness.
  • Cost Control: Monitor food and labor costs, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining quality standards.
  • Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in a kitchen management role, with a strong background in food preparation and culinary techniques.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
