Food Prep and Market Assistant (Part-Time)

About Us:

Our company is a new Southeast Asian restaurant that works out of ABQ Commissary Kitchen and services mobile delivery apps/takeout service. We also set up pop-ups and vend in year round markets in Albuquerque.

About the Role:

We're a small, growing restaurant seeking a passionate and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Food Prep & Event Assistant. In this role, you'll play a vital part in our success, gaining valuable experience in the food industry from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation: Assist with weekly food prep in our commissary kitchen.
• Order Fulfillment: Prepare and package online orders for efficient delivery.
• Event Support:

- Set up and break down event booths at local markets and pop-ups.- Take customer orders, pack food, and prepare on-site menu items.- Ensure a clean and organized event space.

• Logistics: Transport food and supplies between our kitchen and retail locations.
• Marketing & Outreach: Assist with social media marketing, community engagement, and local outreach.

Ideal Candidate:

• Passionate about food: Enthusiastic about the food industry (especially Asian food) and eager to learn.
• Customer-focused: Excellent customer service skills, preferably within a food service environment.
• Team player: Collaborative and enjoys working effectively with others.
• Organized & efficient: Able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Physically capable: Able to lift 40 pounds or more.
• Food Handlers Certified: Required.
• Experience with Square (preferred): Familiarity with point-of-sale systems is a plus.
• Basic marketing skills (preferred): Experience with social media and digital marketing is a plus.
