Job Summary:We are looking for an experienced, motivated, flexible and energetic individual who is capable of performing electrical maintenance work in a demanding and fast-paced manufacturing plant. The Maintenance Electrician will oversee the installation, programming, repair and maintenance of electrical systems, while observing and following safety procedures. This individual will determine if electrical components of systems or machines need to be replaced or upgraded. The Maintenance Electrician must be able to understand and make decisions based upon blueprints, instructions and schematics. This person must be willing to complete work on their own or as a part of a team. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential):• Performing preventive maintenance activities.*• Perform electrical work on environmental regulating systems, pumps and industrial lighting systems.*• Reading electrical block diagrams and schematics.*• Diagnosing and repair/replace faulty electronic components such as printed circuit boards.*• Perform electrical work on machines, circuit boards and lighting systems.*• Grounding electrical systems.*• Work with automation controls and programmable logic.*• Troubleshoot and repair electrical components.*• Conduct electronic inspections and tests.*• Follow all safety rules and practices.*• Maintaining teamwork with other associates.*• Perform other duties as assigned.*Special Location/Position Requirements:• Must be able to pass a Maintenance Assessment TestJob Specifications (Work Experience, Skills, Abilities, etc.):• Completion of a trade school or training program is a plus• State Journeyman license preferred• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred• Knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools and industrial equipment• Ability to read schematics, blueprints and other technical documents• Awareness of national, states and local electrical codes and regulations• Strong verbal and written communication skills• Minimum of five years of maintenance work experienceEducation Requirements:High School Diploma or GED requiredPhysical Demands:Normal office conditions. The plant is in a two-story building. Normal office conditions include walking, standing, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, lifting, and driving.Moderate exposure to shop conditions, which are variable depending on the task assigned, but are generally dirty. Is subject to shop noise. Involves extensive standing and walking. Skin and eyes are subject to drying and irritating fumes, vapors and solutions controlled to OSHA standards.
