UCI MIND is an Organized Research Unit focusing on basic and clinical research in the fields of brain aging and cognitive disorders. Responsibilities:Under direct supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI), responsibilities are related to a project focused on characterizing novel mouse models of Alzheimers disease. Characterization will focus mainly on tissue processing for immunohistochemical and biochemical analyses.Responsibilities include the following: collection of mice tissue, processing and staining of tissues by immunohistochemistry; conducting routine molecular biology assays, such as Western blots, ELISAs and PCR; maintaining data records Must be proficient in handling supplies, equipment, and inventory, and have the ability to maintain and organize meticulous data records related to experiments. A strong aptitude for detailed solution preparation is essential, alongside exceptional verbal and written communication abilities. Basic to advanced computer literacy skills are desirable attributes that will support the lab's operational needs. This role is ideal for a collaborative, detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working in a research environment. The expected pay range for this recruitment is $22.66- $23.99 (Hourly).
