**SUMMARY OF POSITION:**
Draw blood for tests, transfusions, donations, or research. May explain the procedure to patients and assist in the recovery of patients with adverse reactions.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ **Proof of one of the following:**
+ Completion of a Phlebotomy training program
+ Completion of medical assistant program
+ Completion of an internship/training program that included venipuncture, skin puncture, patient preparation and post collection transportation/processing
+ Currently/actively enrolled in an RN or LPN program
+ Six (6) months of Phlebotomy experience
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):**
+ One (1) year of patient care experience working in the healthcare field
