Job Details:

Hours: 3:15pm - 11:15pm

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and coordinating accessioning, handling, and grossing preparation of surgical specimens and laboratory inquiries regarding specimen collection and processing for the hospital.
  • Maintains and coordinates all laboratory inquiries and procedures regarding referred testing specimen collection processing for the hospital
  • Acts as a resource for hospital personnel regarding specimen procurement, testing and results;Maintains and coordinates all laboratory specimen pick-up and deliveries between CHS Hospitals and CHS Regional Laboratory Service facilities and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Computer experience desirable
  • Good oral and written communications skills
  • Six months experience in all phases of Phlebotomy in a hospital environment desired
  • Weekends and holidays as scheduled
  • Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy technicians desired
  • Experience in protocols involved in accessioning, handling, and preparation, including thin prep processing of cytology specimens desired
  • Clean, valid NYS Driver's license required
Posted Salary Range:USD $22.94 - USD $27.25 /Hr.
