Position Summary
A Lab Manager position is available in the Department of Philosophy at the University at Buffalo under the supervision of Ryan Muldoon. This position will be supported by the Templeton Grant Diversity, Dynamism and Inclusion: A New Multi-Method Approach for Studying Liberalism.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
* Contribute to the design of lab experiments and surveys
* Lead the implementation of experiments in oTree, z-Tree, or Qualtrics
* Recruit and schedule participants for experiments
* Work with research team on data analysis

Minimum Qualifications
* A Master's degree in Economics, Psychology, or a related field (e.g., Social Sciences, Behavioral Science, or Data Science). A strong background in experimental economics or behavioral research is ideal.
* Prior experience managing a lab or working in experimental research, particularly in economics or social sciences. Experience with subject recruitment, database management, and experimental programming is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
* PhD in hand by start date
* Proficiency in experimental software such as z-Tree, oTree, Qualtrics, or any other platform for programming economic experiments.
* Competence in statistical programming languages such as R, Stata, or Python. Knowledge of data wrangling, visualization, and statistical analysis methods.
* Experience with managing subject recruitment databases, such as ORSEE or other participant management systems.
* Proficiency in spreadsheet and database management software (Excel, Access) as well as other relevant tools for record-keeping and scheduling.
Physical Demands Salary Range $70,000 Additional Salary Information The salary range reflects our good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting, the role and associated responsibilities, and the experience, education, and training of the selected candidate.
