Position Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Laboratory Manager for our Microbiology Department. This role is pivotal in leading and managing a sub-specialty section of our Laboratory, which may include Blood Bank and Transfusion Services, Central Receiving Area, Chemistry, Hematology, or Phlebotomy. Key Responsibilities:

  • Full responsibility for all laboratory staff and their actions in your section.
  • Championing an environment that emphasizes quality, compliance, safety, and satisfaction.
  • Providing 24/7 call coverage.
  • Actively contributing to department Strategic Planning.
  • Managing the technical environment to ensure optimal service quality.
  • Exhibiting innovation in service improvements and problem-solving.
  • Valuing and responding to customer feedback effectively.
  • Upholding our facility's values and fostering teamwork.
Position Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related science field.
  • Certification (Preferred): ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HEW, or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a specific area of charge and 3 years of supervisory experience in a clinical laboratory.
  • Skills: Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and leadership abilities. In-depth scientific knowledge in your area of charge.
