Lab Products - 2nd Shift Bonder
($18-$20/hourly + .50 shift differential)
Position Summary
The Machine Operator primary role is to operate various production equipment in Lab Products manufacturing department. Machines to be operated may include: Bonding, Friction, Automated Packaging, and Lim. May be required to perform other duties, such as inventory cycle counts and/or work with other production equipment. Demonstrates full competency in the operation and maintenance of the calendar and mill equipment as documented on training records.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle
* Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
* Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
* Inspect completed parts
* Test operation of machines periodically
* Takes Initiative and offers suggestions to improve the operation
* Fully competent on specific assigned tasks and/or equipment within 2 months
* Performs work in a timely manner with attention to quality
* Must be able to achieve production quotas set for the machine assigned to
* Follows and takes direction
* Demonstrates safe and orderly work practices
* Maintains a total awareness of quality practices and procedures
* Responsive to all production requests
* Must be able to work overtime and weekends (mandatory overtime may be required)
Qualifications and Education
* High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
* Must be able to perform each assigned task at full competency, as recorded on his/her training record.
* Troubleshooting skills

* Able to lift at least 50 pounds
