Volt is immediately hiring a Lab Tech II in Maplewood, Minnesota.This is a first shift positionThe position of Laboratory Technician will provide technical assistance to engineers by performing routine and complex laboratory tasks for the Application Engineering Department of the Automotive Aftermarket Laboratory.As a Lab Tech II you will:Prepare materials and organize product testing.Assist in laboratory experiments through testing and evaluation of new materials and products based on research.Welding, sanding, painting, facility maintenance & organization, etc.Perform statistical data analysis, interpretation, and documentation of experimental results in technical notebooks.Assist in assuring availability of raw materials by maintaining and ordering needed supplies and equipment.This is a full time contingent opportunity.Estimated Duration 24+ months.The ideal candidate will have:Associated Degree or higher is preferred.Prior laboratory or manufacturing experienceProven ability to problem-solve and implement solutionsPrevious experience in the automotive/repair market highly desired.Demonstrated experience using power tools and testing equipment.Computer experience in Excel, Minitab, PowerPoint, and Project.Pay Rate: $22.50-25.00 hr.
