NTx's biomanufacturing processes can easily be scaled to meet fluctuating supply needs so that companies can increase and streamline production as they respond to changing global demands.Your ImpactA position is available for a highly talented and motivated postbaccalaureate researcher to engage in research and development. The job involves the use of biochemical and molecular/micro-biological techniques to facilitate the production of RNA constructs. The successful candidate will do this work in collaboration with a team of Ph.D. scientists with expertise in the areas of organic synthesis, RNA/protein biochemistry, bioinformatics and protein engineering.Minimum job requirements include:
- Strong background in DNA techniques including cloning.
- Experience with recombinant protein expression and purification.
- Basic understanding of microbial metabolism and enzyme catalysis.
- Experience with or basic understanding of analytical techniques, such as, HPLC, mass-spectrometry and fluorescence spectroscopy.
- Creating new assays
- Assist with the maintenance and cleanliness of the lab areas.
Desirable Skills:
- Desire to learn new techniques and ability to digest primary literature as a learning tool.
- Special consideration will be given to those with experience working with RNA and/or experience in protein/enzyme biochemistry.
- Strong communication skills to present and summarize research results.
- Ability to manage time and see tasks to completion.
- Careful and thoughtful execution of protocols.
