Job Title: Lab TechnicianJob Description
The lab technician is responsible for testing incoming raw materials to specifications, setting up and conducting corrosion testing, creating and maintaining test records/logs, supporting other lab technicians as needed, and following laboratory SOPs and certifications in compliance with internal and A2LA certification. The lab technician will conduct qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses of raw materials in the laboratory for quality or process control, set up and operate various lab instrumentation including standard salt fog cabinets, cyclic corrosion chambers, pH meters, hydrometers, and various analytical lab equipment. Additional duties include mixing testing solutions per specification, setting up/monitoring tests, accurately entering test data to appropriate locations, chamber/lab housekeeping, maintaining, repairing, and replacing test equipment, and performing other duties as assigned by the Lab Manager.

This is a fully on-site position in DETROIT, Michigan.
Work Environment
This position is in the Analytical lab, one of three labs: QC, R&D, and Analytical. The pace will vary, with most of the harder work being project-based. Customers will send back a failing product, and this person has to test and recommend changes based on their findings.
