Labor and Delivery - equiliem : Job Details

Must work 2 of 3 holidays. Denote all RTO on submission.

Manager interview required.

Patient Ratio:

• 1:1 with 2nd stage labor and C/S circulating and post-anesthesia stage 1
• 1:3-4 in triage (agency not usually assigned in triage but may be asked to assist with charge RN)
• Early labor 1:2-3
• Active labor 1:2

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience required
• First time travelers are not accepted
• Travel pairs are not accepted
• Every other weekend required; Must work Labor Day and 1 winter holiday
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN FHM Intermediate Level required
• May float to Mother/Baby
• No block scheduling
• Locals accepted
• NJ RN license required upon start

Special Requirements:

• Antepartum care (Use of EFM, assist with sterile speculum exam, NSTS, and OCTs)
• External fetal monitoring, use of IUPC, and recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Strong experience with IVs (No PICC lines)
• Managing and administering antihypertensives, magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin, and pain medications
• Circulate for c-section required, scrub for c-section highly preferred
• Neonatal Care in Delivery Room

Type of Facility: Level 2 L&D; 1000 deliveries annually

Total Staffed Beds: 7 LDRs, 2 ORs, 3 bed L&D triage, and 20 bed Mother-Baby Unit

Charting System: EPIC (go-live 9/28); Client Centricity Fetal Surveillance and Documentation system

Parking Cost: Varies based on parking structure
