About the Role:
United Health Services, the largest and most comprehensive provider of healthcare services in upstate New York's Southern Tier, is hiring a Staff Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery to join our team at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. The Labor and Delivery unit is a very fast-paced and collaborative environment. Within the Labor and Delivery unit you will work amongst passionate, experienced, cross trained nurses looking to make the delivery experience as seamless as possible for mother and baby.
Schedule: 12 hour shifts; every 3rd weekend
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
Admitting patients
Keeping a close eye on vital signs and responding when needed, fetal monitoring
Move mother and baby to recovery room – assess, monitor, help while in recovery room
Administering medications and providing patient education
Qualifications:
A valid RN license
ACLS preferred
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
Previous experience in labor and delivery preferred
