To Apply for this Job Click Here Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Assistant to join our dynamic team in Louisville, KY. The ideal candidate will support laboratory operations by performing various clerical and technical tasks, ensuring the efficient processing of laboratory samples and contributing to high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities:
  • Sample Handling:
    • Receive and process laboratory specimens, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
    • Prepare samples for testing, including centrifugation, aliquoting, and storage.
    • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
    • Data Entry and Management:
      • Accurately enter patient information and test results into laboratory information systems (LIS).
      • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents.
      • Generate and maintain reports related to laboratory activities.
      • Quality Assurance:
        • Adhere to established laboratory protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
        • Participate in quality control and quality assurance processes.
        • Assist in the troubleshooting of equipment and reporting any issues to the supervisor.
        • Collaboration and Communication:
          • Work closely with laboratory technologists, scientists, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate efficient workflow.
          • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff regarding sample collection and testing procedures.
          • Participate in training and onboarding of new staff members.
          • Administrative Support:
            • Assist with scheduling and coordinating laboratory services.
            • Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
            • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.Qualifications:
              • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience + associate's degree; Bachelor's degree in laboratory sciences or related field preferred.
              • Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred.
              • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
              • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with laboratory information systems.
              • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
              • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Physical Requirements:
                • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
                • Manual dexterity for handling laboratory specimens and equipment.Benefits:
