Laboratory Assistant I Location: Knoxville, TNShift - 3rd Schedule (11:30 pm to 7:30 am) Eligible for $1,500 Sign-On Bonus for 3rd shift!Position Responsibilities:Responsibilities:• Under direct supervision, assists in non-licensed laboratory activities and recordkeeping at the company lab• Assists professionals/certified individuals by preparing materials/samples and performing various lab tests• Participates in continuing education; operates, maintains and troubleshoots instrumentation within assigned department• Receives specimens, processes and records information received from collection centers; handles and tracks donor samples from receipt to final testing• Performs proper disposal of samples into biohazard containers after testing is complete• Follows safety regulations, Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) rules, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)• Works within current good manufacturing practice (cGMP) guidelines and adheres to all regulatory standards within the labQualifications:• High School Diploma or equivalent vocational or technical training• Basic computer skills required• Previous lab-related experience preferredPlease note, we may not have an immediate need at the present time; however we are always interested in speaking to well qualified candidates for future openings.
