Overview
The full-time position will support laboratory staff by maintaining equipment, logs, and inventory for iMAPs Labs.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
* Assist in maintaining the inventory of common stock Responsible for ordering lab-related items. Receive, unpack, and properly distribute all packages arriving at the facility. Maintain the receiving log
* Perform routine instrument maintenance of both GMP and non-GMP laboratory instrumentation, including, but not limited to, centrifuges, water baths, and incubators.
* Coordinate with the facilities team the scheduling preventative maintenance for all lab instruments and escort vendor technicians.
* Assist in maintaining and reviewing documentation for all laboratory instruments, including logs, forms, and maintenance documents.
* Responsible for ordering CO2 and LN2 Communicate with laboratory team members on cryogen supply and needs.
* Wash laboratory glassware and autoclave laboratory supplies as needed.
* Follow quality control plans, GMP requirements, and assigned guidelines.
* Maintain proper housekeeping in the laboratory areas.
* Follow all safety requirements and regulations.
* Assist in training new personnel in safety, routine maintenance, and other areas as assigned.
* Follow the directions of the laboratory supervisor regarding daily tasks and expectations for each duty.
* Must adhere to Iovance Biotherapeutics' core values, policies, procedures, and business ethics.
* Comply with Safety SOPs, SDS sheets, and laboratory procedures per company policy and OSHA regulations.
* Related lab document authoring
* Perform miscellaneous lab duties as assigned.
Required Education, Skills, and Knowledge
* Associate degree in life science or STEM-related discipline
* Previous experience working in a GMP environment such as the laboratory, manufacturing facility, or warehouse.
* Familiar with basic laboratory techniques, safety practices, and procedures
* Ability to understand documents, SOPs, and work instructions
Preferred Education, Skills, and Knowledge
* Bachelor's degree in Life Science or STEM-related discipline preferred

Physical Demands and Activities Required
* Must be able to move to and from the office to the lab located on separate floors and move about to the office and lab as needed.
* Must be able to remain in a stationary position, standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time
* Must grasp with both hands, perform repetitious actions such as pinch with thumb and forefinger, turn with hand/ arm, and reach above shoulder height.
* Must be able to use several types of laboratory equipment and pipettes for extended period.
* Must be able to work on a tablet or computer typing for 50% of a typical working day
* Must be able to move and lift 20 pounds multiple times daily.
* Must be able to use near vision to view samples at close range.
* Wear proper personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, lab coats, and closed-toed shoes, when in a laboratory setting.

Work Environment
This position will work in both an office and a laboratory setting. When in the lab, there may be a risk of exposure to hazardous or biological waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning, and/or disposal of contaminated areas and waste.
