Job Description :

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Technology or other related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

* Previous experience in Laboratory Management.

* Interest in a range of health sciences (i.e. Human Movement Sciences, Clinical and Diagnostic Sciences).

* Competent in equipment management including: use planning, performance maintenance, system restoration, troubleshooting, electrical safety, data management, inventory, and calibration within laboratory environments.

* Ability to disseminate equipment knowledge to faculty and students in support of classroom and research activities, as well as coordinate technology assessments, evaluate equipment proposals for technical merit and cost requirements.

* Excellent, effective written and oral communication skills.

* Excellent organizational and analytical skills.

* Ability to communicate effectively with others.

Unless otherwise required by an applicable collective bargaining agreement, all minimum, additional and desired qualifications are preferred, but qualifications, degrees, and/or experience deemed comparable and/or equivalent by Oakland University in its sole and exclusive discretion may be considered.

Position Details Position Purpose

Oversee effective operation of instructional laboratories and research facilities in the School of Health Sciences. Establish policies and procedures for the labs. Manage supply inventory for the academic program labs.
