Overview:
Pay Range: $77,077 - $100,020
Scope: This position supports the Laboratory Information System in a consolidated environment by being the point person to resolve issues with systems across the state and/or practice locations, including trouble shooting and training. This position is responsible for updating changes in all lab systems and ensuring the each location is up to date and using the standardized equipment and programs. The position will also support the Director and Area Lab Managers with other projects, where applicable, that are approved by the practice Leadership team.
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Investigates and responds to end user questions, assists with resolution of those issues and coordinates with other locations in a proactive manner to ensure they are not seeing the same concerns.
- Works in conjunction with the IT LIS team to include updates of all lab systems, interface projects, billing system upgrades, IKmed interface issues, testing of all interfaces and code upgrades and test ordering issues. Serves as the primary resource for state lab personnel as it relates to system issues. Meets regularly with Director and Area Lab Managers to troubleshoot those concerns and look for trends and patters.
- Assists with all projects that require data mining of lab systems and provides reports that may be used by practice teams to determine growth and/or challenges as it relates to reimbursement. ?
- Prepares and analyzes all issues and projects and meets regularly with the Laboratory Administrative team to discuss all concerns and updates.
- Maintains awareness of and compliance with state and federal regulations and ensures that state labs are operating with the correct standards and licensure.
- Is a partner with all testing, implementation and maintenance of system updates, instrument interfaces and any new or replacement equipment across the state. Troubleshoots with location to ensure equipment is ready for use.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Training:
- Bachelors degree in Medical Technology or Laboratory Science with five years of pertinent lab experience.
- ASCP or equivalent licensure preferred
Business Experience:
- Requires a broad range of knowledge of lab computer practices through formal training in Orchard with at least three years of those running the program.
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to juggle multiple projects while responding to customer concerns in a timely manner
- Ability to support and articulate business protocol in a manner that supports the companies objectives.
