Position: Laboratory Supervisor II Location: DeLand, FL Salary: $36.78 - $43.27 per hour Employment Type: Permanent Schedule:

• Tuesday - Friday: 5:00 PM - 3:00 AM
• One Saturday every 12-13 weeks

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Supervisor II to oversee and manage laboratory operations during evening shifts in DeLand, FL. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth functioning of the lab, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and provide leadership to a dedicated team of laboratory professionals. Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise laboratory operations and staff to ensure timely and accurate testing.
• Monitor workflow and productivity to meet departmental goals and ensure efficient operations.
• Oversee quality control processes, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, including CLIA and CAP.
• Provide mentorship, training, and performance evaluations for laboratory staff.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize patient care and service delivery.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports in compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with implementing and evaluating new laboratory procedures and technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
• Current Medical Technologist (MT/MLS) certification through ASCP, AMT, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical laboratory experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory testing, quality control, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for team leadership.
• Ability to work independently during evening shifts.
