Laboratory Technician - Arxada : Job Details

• Arxada is looking for a Lab Technician in our Florham Park/Morristown laboratories. The role is onsite five days a week, 9am-5pm. The Junior Analytical Microbiology Technician will perform duties in the analytical lab (physical, wet chemistry tests) and Micro Lab (media preparation and other light testing duties as appropriate) and sample login for the laboratories

Essential Job Functions:

• Performs routine laboratory tests(such as pH, Viscosity, FTIR and titration using established procedures and methods.
• Maintains laboratory equipment and consumables
• Work with Microbiology team to review media requests, assure needs are clear and schedule preparation to have all media ready as needed.
• Log and distribute samples from suppliers, customers, and other external parties to the laboratories, notifying stakeholders as require
• Prepares chemical reagents, microbiology media and standard solutions.
• Stocks laboratory materials, and participates in ordering and receiving of chemicals and materials.
• Maintains a clean, neat working environment in the laboratories.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures and actively promotes and encourages safe work practices
• Light Administrative duties

Qualifications & Experience:

• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Biology discipline
• 2-5 years of experience in laboratory environment (academic or industrial)
• Data integrity compliance and able to follow laboratory methods
• Knowledgeable and complies with all pertinent safety policies, rules and regulations
• Team player with a strong work ethic that can work independently
• Must be able to lift and carry 25lbs regularly
