Position Overview:

Gotion is seeking a Laboratory Chemist to support the development and production of customized electrolytes for lithium batteries and capacitors. This role involves preparing electrolyte formulations with various solvents, salts, and additives, as well as conducting testing and analysis to ensure quality and compliance with Gotion's standards. The ideal candidate will collaborate with internal teams and customers to develop new products while maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and conduct experiments for electrolyte development under the direction of senior scientists.

• Manage multiple tests/experiments simultaneously, track progress, and provide timely updates to supervisors.

• Handle hazardous materials safely using proper protective equipment.

• Maintain accurate records of experimental observations, test results, and data analysis.

• Analyze and process raw materials for electrolyte formulations.

• Prepare routine electrolyte solutions to meet internal and external specifications.

• Conduct physical and chemical analyses to confirm material properties.

• Track and manage laboratory supplies, chemicals, and inventory, ensuring timely replenishment.

• Assist in preparing documentation and labels for domestic and international sample shipments.

• Maintain detailed inventory records, assign batch numbers, and manage goods receipts for invoicing.

• Ensure cleanliness and organization in the laboratory and storage areas.

• Dispose of waste and obsolete materials in compliance with company, local, state, and federal regulations.

• Participate in required training and strictly follow all safety guidelines.

• Optimize equipment usage in a dynamic lab environment.

• Provide cross-functional support to other teams as needed.

• Ensure timely production of high-quality materials for customers.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field required.

• Experience: Prior work in an industrial laboratory environment is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of electrolyte sample preparation and analytical testing.

• Experience performing routine chemical analyses using wet and instrumental methods.

• Ability to maintain accurate laboratory records and practice good housekeeping principles.

• Strong multitasking and organizational skills with the ability to communicate efficiently with scientists.

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).

• Strong integrity, teamwork, and communication skills (both verbal and written).

• High accountability and commitment to laboratory safety protocols.

• Preferred experience with air-sensitive and moisture-sensitive reactions and processes.

• Background in battery systems and organic chemical testing is a plus.
