Compensation Range $18.54 - $30.90 Hourly Rate Job Description Summary: Assist with manual labor for self-performed construction trades. At times may act as a lead for a small crew providing direction, instructions and guidance to achieve a common goal. Job Description: ESSENTIAL RESPONSBILITIES AND DUTIES:Perform tasks involving physical labor at building, highway, and heavy construction projects, excavations, and demolition sitesClean and prepare construction sites, dig trenches, erect scaffolding, clean up rubble and debrisOperate hand and power tools of various typesSignal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materialsLubricate, clean, and repair machinery, equipment, and toolsControl traffic passing near, in, and around work zonesErect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, and other temporary structuresLoad, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specificationsOperate forklift or skid loader (must hold current applicable license)Install and maintain perimeter construction fencing and screeningFuel equipment on-siteInstall safety mesh protectionAssist Swinerton Self Perform trades including but not limited to cement, drywall, carpentry and electrical with all general laborer tasks and needsComplete other responsibilities as assignedSKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Ability to learn new skills with attention to detailLift and/or pull 75lbs., climb ladders, work off ladders, man lifts or other equipmentAbility to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time, fully squat, bend or kneel while wearing a tool beltCapable of working in a variety of weather conditionsUphold Swinerton Core Values of Integrity, Leadership, Passion and Excellence at all timesAdhere to all OSHA and Swinerton safety practices and proceduresSupport activities at all Swinerton job-sites as directedSUMMARY OF BENEFITS: This role provides the following benefits: medical, dental, vision, employee assistance program; basic term life and AD&D insurance, short term disability, 401(k) & savings plan; paid vacation, sick time; MSA Financial coaching; Care.com; ClassPass fitness membership; DoorDash delivery subscription; along with numerous other voluntary benefit options. * Union Members: health and retirement benefits are provided thru the union; therefore voluntary benefit offerings are available for this role.
