Starting pay is established by the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Progression through the pay scale is at 6 month intervals. GENERAL SUMMARY: Under the direction of the assigned supervisor or designee, performs manual labor in a variety of tasks in the maintenance of City parks and facilities. Subject to after hours and weekend work as needed.   • High school diploma or GED
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Eighteen (18) years of age or older.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Two (2) years of professional experience in lawn maintenance and landscaping, including athletic fields, public parks, and turf maintenance.
  • Two (2) years of experience and knowledge of other specialties, such as irrigation, herbicide/pesticide, arboriculture, janitorial, building maintenance and repair, carpentry, plumbing, and mechanical.
  • Two (2) years of experience in ballfield maintenance.
Supplemental Information This position is posted internally/externally concurrently.
