What you'll do as a Laborer You will be the ground hand for technicians, provide parts as needed, move bucket truck as directed by technician. You will ensure that door-tagging and resident notification of our construction activities has been completed prior to starting each workday. You will ensure daily inspection and maintenance of fleet vehicles and equipment is performed and documented. Drive company vehicles as needed to jobsite. Operate construction equipment, and maintain work areas Clearly communicate with all team members Complete daily production reports Help with site restoration efforts Perform work in all weather conditions Other duties as assigned What you'll need To be 18 years of age or older Authorization to work in the United States for this company Valid standard Driver's License with a minimum of 2 years driving experience or Class A Commercial Driver's License 1 to 2 years prior aerial experience preferred. 1 or more years of unskilled labor experience, in telecommunications is a plus. Knowledge of Installation of aerial and underground cables and/or support members in conformance with all applicable codes, regulations, and customer specifications (NEC Electrical Code, System and/or City Specifications). You may be a certified pole climber or capable of demonstrating proficiency as a pole climber. Physical abilities & exposures Routinely: Duties outlined in this position will require the employee to stand, crouch, sit, bend, use hands and fingers to handle or feel as well as reaching with hands and arms to spaces both high and low. The employee will be standing, walking, climbing, balancing, crawling, crouching, lifting, holding or stooping while on shift. Occasionally: Employees performing functions of this position are regularly exposed to outside weather conditions which can include but is not limited to: extreme heat and cold temperatures; inclement weather such as rain, snow, sleet and dust as well as adverse driving conditions including wet roads, icy roads, and fog.
