Position Type: Elementary School Teaching/Art Date Posted: 11/7/2024 Location: Ladoga & Walnut Elementary Art Teacher -PK-5th grade We are looking for a Art Teacher to join our Mountie Family! The teacher will split time between Ladoga and Walnut Elementary Schools. This position will begin January 2025. Position Purpose Under the general supervision of the School Principal, the Art teacher will facilitate student success and growth in art. The Art teacher will create a classroom environment that fosters and promotes health, safety, and learning. Role Expectations (How we measure success):

• Teaches knowledge and skills in art
• Analyzes, demonstrates, and explains basic skills, knowledge and strategies of art.
• Develops lesson plans and supplementary materials compatible with course standards.
• Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior to provide an orderly, productive environment in the areas of art.
• Provides appropriate safety instruction and makes safety checks on equipment and work areas to ensure the overall safety of students.
• Evaluates academic and social growth of students, prepares report cards, and keeps appropriate records.
• Maintains control of storage and use of school property.
• Evaluate each student's growth in art
• Communicates with parents and school counselor on student progress.
• Effectively use technology and resources for their class.
• High level of concentration and attention to detail.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required
• Valid Indiana teaching license
• Basic technology skills, competent in the use of Google applications
• Flexible mindset with the willingness to adapt quickly to change
• Comfortable speaking in front of students in a classroom setting
