Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for opening and closing the center.
  • Ability to work and communicate well with others.
  • Assist with events that are hosted at Lake Thoreau.
  • Perform building/grounds maintenance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Minimum QualificationsAttendants should possess or be pursuing a science-based degree and have a minimum GPA of 3.2.Previous animal care experience is preferred, but not necessary.Maintenance workers do not require a degree but should be physically capable of working in south Mississippi outdoor conditions which include extreme heat/humidity, sun exposure, and rain. Other hazards include biting insects/mites/spiders, poisonous plants.All workers should have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. All workers also must pass a criminal background check.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with a diverse group of people.
    • Ability to work evenings, nights and weekends as necessary.
    • Exhibit individual initiative and the ability to work independently.
