We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Land Technician to join an established private equity group focused on non-operated onshore oil and gas assets. This role supports the Land and A&D teams in managing and optimizing the company's portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update land records, including leases, contracts, and ownership data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Assist in preparing reports, exhibits, and maps for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Land team to manage payments, track obligations, and ensure timely execution of agreements.
- Research and analyze title documents, mineral ownership, and leasehold interests to support due diligence efforts.
- Support acquisitions and divestitures by providing detailed land-related documentation and analysis.
- Interface with third parties, including operators, partners, and regulatory agencies, as needed.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a Land Tech role, preferably in non-operated onshore oil and gas.
- BS degree
- Proficiency in land management software (e.g., Quorum, P2 Land, or similar) and mapping tools like ArcGIS or Enverus.
- Strong understanding of lease terms, title analysis, and division order practices.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
