Overview:
The Landscape Architectural Field Representative is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day field operations for landscape construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee field operations for landscape construction projects, including scheduling, progress tracking, change order documentation, and construction observation practices.
- Cultivate and maintain positive client relationships.
- Conduct construction meetings for multiple projects.
- Coordinate softscape construction, including plant materials and horticultural practices.
- Train staff landscape architects and designers on basic irrigation design, system programming, operation, and verification for all irrigation system types, including 2-wire systems.
- Ensure quality finishes and good design alignment with the landscape architect of record.
- Provide training and mentorship to field construction representatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned. #LI-JR1
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of landscape construction experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity overseeing field personnel and/or subcontractors.
- Familiarity with Houston-area landscape contractors.
- Knowledge of hardscape construction including concrete paving, structural concrete, masonry, storm drainage, and coordination of electrical and plumbing components.
- Familiarity with wet-well pump systems.
- Knowledge of softscape and hardscape construction materials, products, construction sequencing, and pesticide application requirements.
- Certification or licensure as an irrigation designer.
- Ability to work Monday Friday, 8am 5pm with occasional overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and LandFX.
- Familiarity with project scheduling software.
- Understanding of construction management software.
- Experience with surveying practices on construction sites.
