The job of a Landscape Technician involves performing landscaper duties at any site throughout San Diego Unified School District . The number of work days allowed per fiscal year (July 1st-June 30th) is 195. The work is oftenstrenuous and continuous and you should expect to be working in all kinds of weather. The substitute landscape technician must be available to work up to 40 hours per week, and be available between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. every workday to receive your assignments.

In order to work as a substitute landscape technician, you must have reliable transportation.

Landscape Technician I - Care for lawns, shrubbery, and trees; perform other unskilled or semiskilled grounds maintenance duties.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

May be required to possess a valid California driver's license, depending upon the assignment.

Personality and character suited to working on school grounds.
