Language Training Supervisor, DLI-W - (1907)Location: National Capital Region (NCR) - Washington, DC 20540 US (Primary)Category: ContractorsSummary:The Unconventional is seeking a highly skilled Language Training Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will oversee instruction, language training support projects, guide the development and execution of curricula, and ensure the integration of technology into the curricula. The LTS will provide oversight and supervision of ongoing work, coordinating with the DLI-W Academic Advisor in coordination with the COR to ensure quality control of the process.Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Conduct (and document) at least one monthly classroom visit for each class trained under this contract. Observations will serve a dual purpose: to evaluate teacher effectiveness and to assess student progress. More frequent observations should be conducted where warranted by student progress or instructor experience, or as requested by the COR.
  • Notify in writing of any issues pertaining to instructors' changes, schedule changes, academic or behavioral issues with the students.
  • Oversee instruction, language training support projects, guide the development and execution of curricula, and ensure the integration of technology into the curricula.
  • Evaluate and mentor instructors and ensure pre- and in-service teacher training as required, oversee the administration of student assessment and feedback sessions, in-processes, and counsel students.
  • Conduct teacher mentoring, student academic support, and classroom observations.
  • Serve as language experts responsible for leading instructional teams in high-demand language programs, which includes but is not limited to maintaining instructor schedules, planning rotations, coordinating immersions and cultural events, and gathering and reviewing course documentation, and serving as substitute instructors for instructor absences or other urgent staffing needs.Required Qualifications:
  • Should be available during work hours and be immediately accessible to both students and the Government as required.
