Lapper - NESCO Resource : Job Details

JOB DESCRIPTIONSummary/Objective

Responsible for the smooth running of the Lapping area.

Essential Function

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Be at your work station before start of shift.
• Check with table loader to see what processes you are lapping.
• Lap fabric in rack or buggy, whichever is required.
• Cut swatches from fabric and attach to tickets, if needed.
• Assist table loader, if needed.
• Enter widths and yards on each roll lapped into the computer
• Help clean up at end of the shift, empty trash cans, and sweep up.
• Monitor fabric when being lapped for defects.
• Monitor lapper for proper lapping into racks or buggies.
• When capping reworks, verify the swatch and number matches the roll.
• Assist in other operations, as instructed.
• Perform any other duties asked of you by your supervisor.

Competencies

Detail and Quality oriented

Ability to lift up to 25lbs

Ability to operate a sewing machine

Ability to use a computer

Be able to use proper PPE: scissors, tape measure, ink pens, paint markers, sharpies, hole punch, stapler.

Work Environment

This job is out on the production floor and subject to that work environment.

Physical Demands

This is largely a physical job which requires standing for up to 6 hours, bending, etc….
