The Large Loss Project Director at Kustom is a strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing the company's response to significant commercial losses. This role involves operational expertise, team leadership, strategic planning, and fostering key relationships to ensure effective mitigation project execution and transitioning them into reconstruction projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Tactical Leadership:
* Recruit, develop, manage, and retain a team of National Project Managers.
* Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for the team.
* Operational Excellence:
* Drive operational excellence with adequate capacity in personnel, equipment, and vendors.
* Oversee the development and implementation of SOPs for project consistency and quality.
* Resource Management and Initial Response Preparedness:
* Ensure each Kustom location is equipped and trained to successfully manage the initial 24 hours of a commercial large loss mitigation project, until the National team is on-site.
* Strategically manage resources, including equipment and personnel, across regions.
* Relationship Building and Management:
* Build and strengthen relationships with customers, adjusters, and industry peers.
* Represent Kustom at industry events, tradeshows, and conferences.
* Administrative Collaboration:
* Work with the administrative team on invoicing, job cost analysis, and project profitability.
* Project Execution:
* Oversee the operational execution of large loss mitigation projects from initiation to completion and ultimately the hand off to the reconstruction team.
* Monitor job progress, ensuring projects are on time, within scope, and budget.
* Equipment and Logistics:
* Coordinate with the asset management team for equipment and material availability.
* Ensure regular equipment maintenance and functionality assessments.
* Continuous Improvement:
* Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices for continual process enhancement.
* Establish feedback mechanisms for process, response time, and customer satisfaction improvements.
Qualifications:
* Proven leadership abilities in team management, preferably in restoration or related industry.
* Track record of managing successful commercial large loss projects.
* Strategic and operational capacity management skills.
* Strong relationship management and financial acumen.
* Familiarity with equipment and logistics management.
* Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry practices.
* Excellent communication skills and travel flexibility for large loss incident management.
