Communicate effectively with your supervisor & shift regarding workload, problems or issues on the shift, safety items, maintenance issues, goals and progress with respect to the goals, results of prior day, etc. Be responsible for making sure all employees maintain proper PPE on the shop floor & enforce Valmonts Safety policies & procedures at all times. Lead by example. Be knowledgeable of shop goals & keep goal posted for your department. Keep your team on track with goals. Help introduce and drive LEAN techniques and methodologies. Enforce company policies and procedures, including STOP work authority. Use GMAW/ FCAW/ SAW process. Frequently pushes, lifts, and pulls up to 50 pounds. Read and interprets drawings to determine parts needed for pole assembly. Use measuring tape, levels, squares, and angle finders to measure distances and angles.
