2nd 3:00 pm - 1:30 am Mon-Thurs

Compensation is based on experience

Laser Operator (Bystronic, willing to train) will be responsible for the timely fabrication of production components and other priorities as needed. Maintain data and documentation management, Inventory of sheet stock machine PM's, work center organization and cleaning.

Position requires collaboration and coordination with Scheduler/Programmer

· Follows production schedule and priorities as assigned by laser programmers

· Requests product labels for product identification (if required)

· Performs in process quality inspections, using drawings, measuring tools and visual aides

· Identifies and stages components for ease of identification

· Coordinates with Material Handlers for raw stock material replenishment

· Coordinates with Material Handlers for finished components distribution

· Reports to Production Supervisor or laser programmer all machine or equipment malfunctions, failures, and maintenance requirements

· Maintains work center area and material stocking racks, clean and organized

· Reviews raw sheet stock inventory levels (as assigned)

· Perform weekly machine PM and clean-up as scheduled

· Storage, documentation/archiving and file creation of component patterns and layouts

· Identify operating system issues, suggestions, and improvements

Keeps work area clean and organized, free of trash, scrap and other items that do not belong in work area or stocking racks.

Makes sure that there are no obstacles blocking the free movement within the work center and access to the equipment.

Preferred minimum of one year in working in a high-volume manufacturing or warehouse facility

Individual must be able to operate with proficiency all work center equipment and tools.

Must be able to use measuring devices (calipers, micrometer, measuring tape)

Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Able to lift fifty pounds with minimal effort.

Position will require individual be able to climb and use various folding and roll-around ladders with minimal physical effort.

Must wear safety glasses, ear plugs if required or needed, gloves and/or wear steel/composite toed shoes for safety consideration.
