Position Overview

The Last Mile Logistics Systems Operations Manager is responsible for managing operational efficiency and technical functionality of our systems, processes, and infrastructure within our kitchen facilities in the US. Acting as a crucial bridge between technical teams and operations, this role oversees the final stage of our logistics network, focusing on implementing and supporting systems to optimize efficiencies in last-mile delivery operations. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership skills, technical proficiency, and a strategic mindset to align technology solutions with business goals while driving operational excellence and efficiency.

  • Advance experience with GroundStar is required
  • This role is not an Operations Manager opportunity but rather focuses on the technical aspects of operations and implementation/deployment of operational systems
  • Remote based position located in the US – sponsorship is not available for this opportunity
  • Airline catering LML experience highly preferred

Main Accountabilities
  • Working cross-functionally, lead site projects to implement and upgrade LML systems to ensure defect-free launches and proper usage of systems and equipment
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, develop, and implement LML system improvements and advancements
  • Train transportation managers, transportation supervisors, and dispatchers on LML system usage and best practices
  • Develop and improve LML system KPIs to drive operational efficiency visibility and results in the field
  • Function as the Subject Matter Expert for LML systems

Leadership

  • Model corporate values and participate as required in groups, initiatives, and advisory bodies
  • Proactively support other departments and functions as the Subject Matter Expert
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant experience required in the lieu of a degree
  • Five to seven years of experience in transportation required
  • Three to five years of experience in deployment of systems/processes required
  • Expert level knowledge/experience utilizing GroundStar required
  • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate at all organizational levels
  • Team player with ability to work with cross-functional, cross cultural teams, and all levels of management with skills of motivation, organization and leadership
  • Proficient computer skills to include Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Remote based position located in the US - must live in the US
  • Must be a Road Warrior! Requires minimum 75% domestic travel

  • Regional Driver Utilization of GroundStar
  • Regional Quantified Savings from GroundStar Usage
