Qualifications:
- High School diploma required
- Strong human relation skills
- Evidence of current, valid TB test
- Ability to organize and maintain records
- Such alternatives as the Superintendent and/or his/her designed may find acceptable and appropriate.
Duties & Responsibilities Include:
- Collect and record fees for Latchkey services
- Monitor attendance and keep attendance records
- Organize group games and craft activities
- Maintain standards of discipline set by the Latchkey Director
- Assume responsibility for supplies and play equipment
- Participate in in-service training programs
- Supervise children before and after school
- Takes part in in-service training programs, as required
- Supervise students and maintain a harmonious atmosphere
- Meet and service the needs of clientele in a timely fashion and in a pleasant and appropriate manner
- Compile and maintain appropriate records for federal, state and local regulations and reports
- Compile and maintain appropriate records and forms
- Public relations as necessary
- Assist in coordination of events and activities
- Assist Director and/or Supervisor in arranging substitutes as necessary to ensure program operation.
- The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the district.
- Employee shall properly implement Board Policy 3122, Policy 4122, and Policy 2260 on non-discrimination and shall comply with Federal and State laws and regulations, particularly Part 1 104 of Section 504 Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (34 CFR) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Terms of Employment: Class II - hours per day based on student need. Compensation: Entrance Level: $13.76 Maximum level: $16.01 (based on CBA language) Benefits and compensation in accordance with Paraprofessional Collective Bargaining Agreement.
